Coast to Coast #152 – In Pierce County, WA, a deputy makes a routine traffic stop concerning a suspended license and wind up with more than he bargained for when something illegal falls on the ground from inside his pocket. Next, in San Bernadino, CA, deputies are called in for a domestic dispute which began with one of the combatants spitting in the others face. Lastly, the police officers in Las Vegas respond when a boy is bitten by a Pit Bull and a German Shepard.
The action begins in 1995 when the Melbourne crime syndicate ‘the Carlton Crew’ dominate the scene. Drug dealing brothers Jason and Mark Moran (Les Hill and Callan Mulvey) emerge as key players, and are kept under the scrutinising eyes of police officers Steve Owen (Rodger Corser) and Jacqui James (Caroline Craig), members of Task Force Purana. When Jason’s driver Carl Williams (Gyton Grantley) double-crosses the brothers in a drug scam it sparks off a chain of bloody events; with more double-crossings, alliances made, alliances broken, extortion, hits ordered, killings, avenge killings and numerous spells in prison. With slick production design, and a huge cast of colourful characters interweaving across the show’s long time-frame, it’s clear why UNDERBELLY has been heralded one of Australia’s best ever crime dramas.
After weeks of highs and lows, Ant and Dec present the final of `Britain’s Got Talent’. The ten acts that have made it through the auditions compete for the ultimate prize of £100,000 and the chance to perform at the 2009 Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen. They have one more chance to impress judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden before the public vote.
Series 3, Final – The finalists perform hoping to impress the judges and viewing public. After all the acts have performed the phone lines are opened for tonight’s public vote.
