FTD released an upcoming album from Ispectah Deck, titled “Manifesto” which has a retail release date of March 23, 2010.
As a founding member of Staten Island s Wu-Tang Clan, it’s not an overstatement to say this is a man who changed the game. Now straight from the slums of Shaolin Inspectah Deck is back with Manifesto, his best solo effort to date. Long regarded as one of Hip Hop s most gifted MC s, Deck is joined on Manifesto by Raekwon, Billy Danze of M.O.P, Termanology, Cormega, Kurupt, Planet Asia, Cappadonna and many more. Deck takes a hands on approach to the beats, personally producing several cuts and overseeing all production. Many of the beats are based on live tracks laid down by the same line up of musicians (The Revelations) behind 2009 s Wu-Tang Chamber Music. In addition to stellar appearance throughout the Wu catalog and solo efforts, Deck is also known for his appearances on all time classic albums such as Big Pun s Capital Punishment, Gangstarr’s Moment of Truth and Pete Rock s Soul Survivor. Further, his own solo efforts are some of the best to ever arise from the Wu-Tang camp. Now is the time for Inspectah Deck to deliver truth to the world of Hip Hop. This is his Manifesto.

Ten-time Grammy Award winner/vocal innovator Bobby McFerrin surprises us yet again with VOCAbuLarieS, his first new release in eight years. Like his #1 worldwide hit song Don’t Worry Be Happy and his multi-platinum duo album Hush with cellist Yo-Yo Ma, VOCAbuLarieS is based on Bobby’s experiments with multi-track recording and his ceaseless exploration of the potential of the human voice. VOCAbuLarieS is Bobby McFerrin music for the 21st century. A collaboration with the composer/arranger/producer Roger Treece, VOCAbuLarieS features over fifty of the world’s finest singers, recorded one at a time and in small groups to create a virtual choir made up of over 1,400 vocal tracks. Constructed as meticulously as a Mozart symphony or a Steely Dan album, intricately synthesized from countless stylistic elements, VOCAbuLarieS may be unlike any album anyone has ever recorded. Yet the music is always accessible, joyous, and inviting. VOCAbuLarieS celebrates Bobby’s love of all musical genres, from classical to world music, R&B to gospel and beyond, building upon McFerrin’s past explorations and journeying into bold new territory. If the song Don’t Worry Be Happy is all you know about Bobby McFerrin, sit back and prepare to be amazed.

2010 album from the multi-platinum Funk Soul brothers, their first album in five years. Classic Fantastic bursts out of that gloom like a glorious sunrise shooting infinite rays over a range of shadowy mountains, as spectacularly life-affirming as the last five years have been creatively death-defying. The songs tell stories, notes Huey, ‘about the human condition’; from the bonkers Psychedelic Party-Rock of ‘Mars’, to the sumptuous, summertime, trumpeting Soul of ‘Classic Fantastic’. Summer shimmers on via the irresistible, piano-led, De la Soul-goes-Latino-carnival of ‘She Sings At The Sun’, there’s the comedy skit ‘Conversations With Our Attorney’ featuring ‘Mike Strutter’, Paul Kaye’s outrageous MTV character. A Rock meltdown follows with ‘The Originals’ before ‘Keep On Yellin’, featuring Roots Manuva!

FRAY released The Wolfman: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Danny Elfman, which had a retail release date of February 23, 2010.
The Wolfman soundtrack is a beautiful 19-song score that represents some of Danny Elfman’s darkest and most foreboding work to date. Several of the tracks, such as Gypsy Massacre and Country Carnage, are frantic additions to an otherwise even-paced score. Most of the soundtrack is free from a female choir, save for songs like The Healing Montage, a welcome throwback to Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow. One interesting twist is the hint of Gypsy fiddle that makes its way into songs like Prologue, which fits in beautifully with the film.

CMG released an upcoming album from Chumbawamba, titled “ABCDEFG” which has a retail release date of March 23, 2010.
2010 release, the 17th album from the anarchist pop outfit best known for their massive hit ‘Tubthumping’. ABCDEFG: seven letters to hint at what Chumbawamba have spent their adult lives doing: fashioning something weird, funny, eccentric and challenging from a seven-note Do-re-mi of possibilities. Or by another name, music. This is another concept album (`concept’ as in `idea’. Above all, ideas is what Chumbawamba thrive on), an album full of ideas specifically about music. Music both good and bad, music celebrated and music ridiculed. ABCDEFG is musically eclectic and wide-ranging, from acapella to pop to folk to jazz, a mix-up of ideas to reflect its subject matter.

FNT released the self titled debut album from Of Mice & Men, which had a retail release date of March 9, 2010.
Ex-Attack Attack! frontman Austin Carlile leads this rock/HC outfit into uncharted territories, as they continue to wow live audiences with only enough material to leave fans salivating for an album drop. Playing with TDWP, Taking Back Sunday, As I Lay Dying, Embrosa and Bless The Fall, is usually reserved for seasoned veterans, but Of Mice & Men placed themselves right on the front lines waving their flag for all to see.
