The Rasmus, one of Finland finest rock exports of recent years, return with a sixth studio album Black Roses. The band that gave us the international smash hit “In The Shadows” in 2003, taken from the platinum-selling album Dead Letters, has now teamed up with legendary producer and songwriter Desmond Child (who wrote the likes of “Livin’ On A Prayer” by Bon Jovi, “Poison” by Alice Cooper and “Livin’ La Vida Loca” by Ricki Martin) on an album that boasts a score of potential hit singles.

Fourth album from the Floridian thrash revivalists follows 2006’s ‘The Crusade’. Finally coming into their own and transcending their influences, on this album (whose title is theJapanese word for “general”) their sound is more complex, powerful and melodic than ever before, featuring more screaming than ‘The Crusade’ and allegedly betraying a black metal influence. Produced by rock bigshot Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Shadows Fall, Coheed & Cambria), it includes the web-only single ‘Kirisute Gomen’ - literally “authorization to cut” - the Samurai’s right to execute any commoner who was disrespectful to him.

Joshua Radin’s Simple Times, due out on September 30th, will be the premiere release from mom & pop, Q Prime’s new independent label. The album is the follow-up to Radin’s acclaimed full-length debut, 2006’s We Were Here.

Gold Medal in Metal (Alive & Archive) is the first live DVD/CD set to be released by Swedish heavy metal band Dream Evil. It will include a CD audio version of the live show, and an additional disc of rare tracks, some previously unreleased, some only available on Japanese albums, and also three new studio tracks recorded in 2007.

Falconer is a distinctive Swedish folk/power metal band, formed by the former guitarist of Mithotyn Stefan Weinerhall. Falconer carry on many of the traditions set by Weinerhall’s previous band and play a style of power metal that utilises folk instrumentation and melody to create a more medieval sound. Among Beggars and Thieves is the sixth album by the band.

I highly recommend this! Falconer are a great band with an incredible theatrical vocalist
