Well I felt like it was time for a little site update, seeing as I just closed our latest poll and we have yet again reached another high with the amount of visitors we recieve…which makes me happy!

For those of you that are interested here is a little update on the mass of people that have recently been flocking to OneDDL! This week has been extremely good…we reached 3,000 some while ago but have not been able to hold it until now, I personally hope we stay over 3,000 lol!

Anyway, I’m mainly writing this because, as you can tell from the graph above, with each passing day of the week we climb higher and higher into the 3,000’s, our highest (on Saturday 7th 2008) being 3,677 unique visitors in one day! What better way to celebrate then joining the forum! Its free and you not only get access to everything that gets posted on the OneDDL main site but you can also sample and download other users uploads, join the growing community now!

Okay, thats enough plugging of the forum…I hope you all continue to enjoy the site!

P.s Aside from the blue bar on the graph, which represents unique visits, the green referes to page loads and the orange to returning visitors (within a certain amount of hours).

Well, its been quite an interesting month on ONEDDL and this by far is going to be the most enjoyable part for me…introducing the new team of editors/mods. Here it finally is…the results from out latest polls! I was intending to have all polls closed by 25th May but for some reason the LOST poll refused to close…is that a sign? I hope not, lol. In case ou hadn’t noticed all polls were TV related.

I know…we’ve moved forum software again…hopefully though this will be a permanent move!

The new software should make it much easier to manage the site as everything seems to be running off the shoutbox at the moment, and this is not helping anyone. Here is the new state of play on ONEDDL:

• Requests will now be handled in the forum, I will not take any requests over the shoutbox
• All posts that appears on the main site should get automatically posted in the forums, usually within an hour of being created on the main site
• I will be posting RS Premium Accounts in the forum for members to use:P

Finally please re-register if you were a member of the old forums an obviously if your new then just register and join our great community!

I woke up this morning, logged into my computer and expected to see an active ONEDDL starring at me, this was not the case! Instead my host had notified me via email that there had been an attempted ‘hack’ on the server and it had been shut down. After quite a bit of trouble I managed to get the server back online and everything seems to be working fine now.

The apparent problem was with one of our posts, this post has subsequently been deleted now in the hope of preventing such an attack happening again. I am pleading with the attacker, or attackers for that matter to stop whatever you are trying to do to this server. We have done nothing wrong and if you want to take this up with me then you know how to contact me!

This may on the other hand not be an attack at all but the work of something else, perhaps automated. Whatever the case it is completely beyond the bounds of my knowledge and I am just happy that ONEDDL is once again active!

I have to say this is a target that I was very happy to reach…on Sunday we had over 2,000 unique visitors to the site (2,165 if you want the exact figure - Statcounter) and I think this is something to be proud of as a webmaster. I hope you continue to enjoy the site and what we have to offer here at ONEDDL!
