Tell MegaShares to Fix FTP Uploads

As many of you have noticed, we have not been posting very many MegaShares links lately.
This is because MegaShares broke their FTP upload functions and have not fixed it.
Please click the above banner to help us.

What can you do to help the situation?
Well there are really two main way you can help. (You don’t need an account)

If enough people let them know to fix this issue, hopefully they will.

MegaShare’s had a sitewide outtage a few weeks ago.

We had an extended outage on Sunday Aug 23.2009 through Monday Aug 24.2009 when we increased capacity with a new datacenter, lasting under 12 hours.

Marketing and Customer department are working on the number of days credit we want to provide to our customers.

Your account should reflect this increase within the next 3 business days.

–UPDATE–
Accounts have been credited with an additional 7 days.

After this outage, their FTP uploads have not worked.
MegaShares has not bothered to repair their FTP upload support.

I and many others have sent emails to their support staff. There have been no responses from their support and the problem still occurs.

There are many methods to upload to MegaShares, but their form uploads are slow and their other methods all require the use of Java in a web browser.

FTP is the fastest way and best way for us and many others to use MegaShares.

You may want to also add that they should enhance the FTP Upload service to allow you to import only selected files like NetLoad has.

it’s probably worth mentioning to anyone considering helping out by voting on the user feed back page you can do this without logging in and with a mega shares account.

    @bigbox30
I added “you don’t need an account” to the description, that and your comment should probably suffice.

    Yeah!!! Finally some news.

FTP Uploads Offline, Working on their ETA.
    2009.247.Fri @ 22:24:36
Our FTP upload servers are currently delayed in syncing back online with the file storage systems. Services will be restored as soon as possible, but could take up to a week due to hardware issues.

It smells like their developer/programmer is on holiday to me.
