Sexual Healing – The nation’s top scientists come together to put a stop to the recent phenomenon of rich, successful men who suddenly want to have sex with many, many women. After extensive testing, some of the fourth grade boys in South Park Elementary are diagnosed as sex addicts.
In the final episode of the series, Jeremy Clarkson makes a film about the BMW X6 and ends up conducting one of the most expensive road tests in Top Gear history. James May drives the new Vauxhall Insignia VXR, accompanied by Margaret Calvert, the designer of Britain’s road signs; and Richard Hammond tests the 340,000 pound Lexus supercar on the Top Gear track.
The boys then try out the latest in electric personal transport in the studio, and the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is blues musician Seasick Steve.
The latest in the line of great Top Gear specials, following on from epic adventures across Botswana, Vietnam and the Arctic Circle. This time Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are dropped deep in the Bolivian rainforest armed only with three shabby 4x4s which they bought from the local small ads for a maximum of 3500 pounds each.
What follows is their most extraordinary journey to date. They attempt to drive from the heart of Bolivia to the coast of Chile, encountering local drug lords, the debilitating effects of high altitude and the terrifying sheer drops of the infamous Death Road along the way. But before all that, they’ve got to escape from the deep, dark centre of the rainforest in what is without doubt the toughest and most unmissable challenge Top Gear has ever faced.
Episode 5 – Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May attempt to prove that cars can be art by taking over an entire modern art gallery in Middlesbrough and filling it with motoring-related works, including some remarkable creations of their own. In their quest to prove that cars can be more popular than traditional art, the presenters set themselves the challenge of attracting more visitors to their exhibition than will visit a more traditional gallery over the same period, a task that forces them to engage in some unusual promotional activities. Also on the show, Jeremy is on the test track in a new British supercar, the sensationally fast and sensationally expensive Noble M600.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Jeremy wanders the sewers beneath Belfast in the new Renault Twingo 133, for what will probably be a really good reason. Richard, possibly having watched that Cadbury’s advert, takes part in Airport Vehicle Racing and James, rather more sensibly, reviews the Vauxhall Insignia. Yes, a car review!
On the track, Jeremy drives the BMW X5M, Audi Q7 V12 and a super charged Range Rover – 4x4s designed to get your children to school very quickly.
This week’s Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is Guy Ritchie, who ironically, couldn’t direct traffic.
Jeremy and Richard settle the thorny issue of which company has, above all others, made the greatest number of truly brilliant cars. James has a novel solution for getting caravans to campsites without clogging up the roads, and Jeremy hits the track in a remarkable replica of a legendary rally car. Plus Radio 2’s Breakfast Show DJ-elect and all round petrolhead Chris Evans is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
Jeremy, Richard and James attempt to save the planet by building their own electric car, and then put their latest ‘green’ creation through the rigours of the new car testing process. Meanwhile on the track, the battle of the continents, as Europe takes on the USA and Jeremy pits the Corvette ZR1’s muscle against the finesse of Audi’s R8 V10. The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is Hollywood’s hottest new property, Frost/Nixon and Damned United star Michael Sheen.
In the first of a brand new series, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May take an Aston DBS Volante, a Ferrari California and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder to Romania in search of an obscure stretch of tarmac that some hardcore drivers claim is nothing less than the greatest road in the world.Meanwhile, James makes a rare appearance on the track as he compares two absurdly powerful limos, the BMW 760i and Mercedes S63 AMG, and gets into a strange card game with The Stig.
