    See this is problem with TV shows… they are just too far apart… I watched seasons 1-4 in like 10 days (cant say really but i have been watching till my eyes pops out), and now with this new seson i have to wait every week… I mean, dont get me wrong, from where im writing this, season 5 will come in like 3 years or so, but you know…;)

    MKV sucks. Can you burn a MKV file and play it on a standalone DivX player? Ehm. NO.

  6. February 12th, 2009 at 15:27 | #6

    @Lisa : Who uses a standalone DivX player anymore? Get with the times…

    @ZiPPER : How do you watch movies? On “small” computer screen?

    Well, it depends on the type of screen one has. For example I have a 19″ Full HD Screen, and yes, I prefer downloading the 720p version(mkv) and enjoy the superb quality! Is there a Divx player that would read an mkv file so that you could really enjoy your favorite show, and not a bunch of pixels..? Ehm. NO. (no offence meant)

    @SAnSe : 19″ is no where near Full HD. FYI 24″ is full HD size.

    MKV is great, I have a 47″ screen connected via dual HDMI to my TVPC and mkv’s work great on it.

    On A side not, the cheap stand-alone WD HDTV supports MKV fine.

    I have one hooked up to another larger Panel.

    @okone : Ummm…. Acer lies then? I got the 8920G(laptop), with a non-standard 18,2″ screen(yes, I call it 19″ because it’s nearly the same size :P ), with a top resolution of 1980x1080 pixels. That sounds like FullHD to me… [???]

    @SAnSe : I did a little research :P

    1980×1080 pixels is indeed the resolution for ‘Full HD’ but it is rarely supported by laptop or smaller monitors. I think I got confused because my new 24″ monitor nativly supports that res…hence why I believed it to be confined to that size. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong. Otherwise join IRC so we can have a proper debate! :D
